Present day warfare has three common rules:
1. The
military part of the war is reducing and the non-military part is fast
increasing.
a. War is now more of an ideological and
political game than anything else
2. The
war although apparently ‘directs’ against a foreign nation-state, is actually
waged against the people of the same country.
a. Economically
war creates a big sub-sector that sinks all the surpluses from all other
sectors and then drowns the wealth without any extended reproduction.
b. Socially
it creates a hysteric atmosphere of hatred, angst, violence and celebrates
deaths of ‘others’.
c. War
ruins the development of balanced production in every commodity and consumer
sector excepting for those that are directly feeding the war preparation.
i.
War invariably creates a very high inflation of
commodities and daily consumables and robs the people of their saving potential
and disposable income thus lowering down the economic development.
ii.
War reduces the real wage rate of the workers
and toilers within the economy.
iii.
War creates a high cost and high priced economy
but the producers and consumers loose the grip whatever they had.
d. War
creates a fractured social psychology and leaves the society as a strife
tormented and violent space.
3. War is
now long-drawn and protracted… This phenomenon stabilizes the reign of the
ruling party however unpopular they could be. After every physical completion
the political equation within a nation state change, but in case of a
low-intensity protracted war the most unpopular ruling section gains
justification and sustenance.
These are the determining rules that govern other
sub-rules.
